NuSil Technology Introduces Water-Resistant Dimethicone for Pharmaceutical, Cosmeceutical Applications

Carpinteria, CA - April 24, 2008 —NuSil Technology, a cutting-edge manufacturer of
silicone compounds for the healthcare, drug delivery and pharmaceutical industries,
announced the launch of its MED-323 dimethicone product. The product reinforces
NuSil’s commitment to the pharmaceutical and cosmeceutical industries.
MED-323, a tri-methyl endblocked polydimethylsiloxane, was developed as an excipient
for cosmetic and pharmaceutical applications and offers excellent water repellency in
topical skin and hair care products. It meets the requirements of the United States
Pharmacopeia National Formulary (NF) and European Pharmacopeia (EP) for a
dimethicone at 350 cSt viscosity. In addition, the product is produced in NuSil’s FDAregistered
manufacturing site.
