Richard Allen Compton
CEO
Dick Compton has forty years of silicone experience, including formulation development, business development and operations. Named in five patents, he has guided the development of various medical devices ranging from intraocular lenses to cosmetic surgery products and has presented a wide variety of papers in the fields of silicone chemistry and medical device development.
In addition to founding NuSil Technology, Dick has served as the company’s CEO since its inception.
Dick earned a bachelor of science in organic chemistry from the University of Michigan and has completed MBA coursework at the University of Bridgeport and California State University, Long Beach.
Scott Mraz
President and CFO
Scott joined NuSil Technology in 2005 and has responsibility for all operations and financial management. Scott held several positions at NuSil including Vice President of Finance and Vice President of Sales and Marketing before assuming the position of President in 2010. Prior to 2005, Scott was a private equity investor with Quad-C Management, an operations-focused private equity firm, where he helped structure and execute Quad-C's investment in NuSil. Prior to joining Quad-C, Scott was a private equity investor with Apax Partners (f.k.a Saunders, Karp & Megrue), and an investment banking analyst at Merrill Lynch & Co. in Mergers and Acquisitions and Bank of America in Leveraged Finance.
Scott earned a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration (Finance and Accounting) from Ithaca College.
Brian Nash
Vice President – Marketing & Sales
Brian Nash has twenty-three years of silicone experience, including formulation development and business development. Prior to taking on the vice president of marketing and sales position at NuSil, Brian served in a variety of disciplines within the company, including product development management and marketing management. Brian also sits on the company’s board of directors.
Brian earned a bachelor of science in chemistry from California Polytechnic State University, San Luis Obispo.
Tom Banigan
Vice President – Quality Assurance, Regulatory Compliance
Tom has twenty-seven years of quality assurance and regulatory compliance in silicones at NuSil Technology. Tom has held previous positions in quality assurance management at the company and sits on its board of directors. He is currently a member of the Santa Barbara Industrial Association, a mayoral appointee to the Santa Barbara Air Pollution Control District Community Advisory Council, and a member of the Santa Barbara County Community Toxics Advisory Committee.
Tom earned a bachelor of science degree in behavioral physiology from the University of California, Santa Barbara, and a masters of business administration from Pepperdine University. Tom holds certificates in Hazardous Materials Management and Air Quality Management from the University of California, Santa Barbara.
William Klansek
Vice President – Manufacturing
Bill has fourteen years of silicone experience at NuSil Technology, holding various positions in engineering, facilities management, sales and marketing, and plant start-up and operations within the company and also serves on its board of directors. Prior to joining NuSil, he was a lieutenant in the U.S. Navy.
Bill earned a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from the United States Naval Academy and has completed MBA coursework at the University of San Diego.
Keith Reichel
Vice President – Research & Development
Keith has sixteen years of silicone experience at NuSil Technology holding various positions in research and development management. Prior to joining NuSil, Keith held several research positions in the field of biochemistry. Keith serves on NuSil’s Board of Directors.
Keith earned a Bachelor of Science in Zoology from the University of California, Davis.
Jim Yabsley
Vice President – Engineering
Jim has sixteen years of engineering experience at NuSil Technology. Jim has held various engineering and engineering management positions with the company and serves on its board of directors. Prior to joining NuSil, Jim was an officer in the United States Nuclear Submarine Program.
Jim earned a bachelor of science in aeronautical engineering from California Polytechnic, San Luis Obispo, and participated in the U.S. Navy Nuclear Engineering Program.
